SHERPA STAIR CLIMBING CHALLENGE 
Sunday September 19, 8:30 am to 1 pm

Climb the Calgary Tower Stairs (802) with Everest Summiters 

Apa Sherpa 20 times to Everest Summit, Ang Dorje Sherpa 14 times to Everest Summit, Mingma Tenji Sherpa (2000), Laurie Skreslet 1st Canadian (1982), Byron Smith (2000)

Registration at Tower Base: Opens at 8:30 am closes at 11 am

Sherpa Stair Climb: Starts at 9:00 am closes at 12 pm

Photo Opportunities: Throughout event

This is a family fun event open to all fitness levels. Climb to the top of the Tower up to ten times each with Everest Summiters.

Climbers under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

CALGARY TOWER RAPPEL 
Monday September 20, 11:45 am to 1 pm

Join Byron Smith and his climbing team as they lead 12 daring guest rappellers, who are raising $10,000 each for this wonderful cause. They will descend 626' down the outside of the Tower.

Calgary Tower Fundraising Rappel

On October 14th, 2009, an elite group of Calgarians challenged themselves to successfully free-rappel all 626+ feet of the Calgary Tower to raise funds for the Sir Edmund Hillary Foundation and AARC, and raise awareness for the Sir Edmund Hillary Foundation Fundraising Gala November 6th at the Fairmont Palliser.

This group of hearty souls, led by Event Organizer Byron Smith- Everest Summiter, Seven Summit's Summiteer, and Director of the Sir Edmund Hillary Foundation, included hockey legend Jim Peplinski, celebrated fashion photographer Ilona Kohlmann, iconic oil patch dealmaker Ken McNeill, philanthropist W. Brett Wilson, Les Gramantik Head Coach Canadian Track & Field Team, Bob Sartor CEO The Forzani Group, Tanya Falconer, David Walker.
