On October 14th, 2009, an elite group of possibly brave Calgarians challenged themselves to successfully free-rappel all 600+ feet of the Calgary Tower to raise funds for the Sir Edmund Hillary Foundation and AARC, and raise awareness for the Sir Edmund Hillary Foundation Fundraising Gala November 6th at the Fairmont Palliser.

This group of hearty souls, led by Byron Smith, Everest Summiter, included hockey legend Jim Peplinski, celebrated fashion photographer and mother of three Ilona Kohlmann, iconic oil patch dealmaker Ken "McDeal" McNeill and me, somewhat maverick philathropist W. Brett Wilson.
